Categories of Stores and Services
Applications received will be processed by the AFCD. Subject to confirmation of their credentials, those firms that are found acceptable will be issued with a notification letter confirming the inclusion in the AFCD Supplier Lists. Their continued inclusion in the supplier lists will depend on their demonstrated ability to offer competitive tenders and their performance in connection with any order(s) or contract(s) which they have been awarded. The AFCD reserves the right to review the status of the AFCD suppliers in the light of any new information that may affect such status and remove any suppliers from the AFCD Supplier Lists at any time without prior notice and without compensation. Inclusion of a firm's name in any one of the AFCD Supplier Lists does not imply that it has the necessary capability/technical abilities for supplying that category of goods or services to the Government. Suppliers in the AFCD Supplier Lists may receive quotation invitations or tender notifications issued by the AFCD for the provision of a particular category of stores or services for which they have been included as AFCD suppliers, as and when opportunities arise. The receipt of such quotation invitations or tender notifications by individual suppliers does not imply that they will be awarded the contracts or their past contract performance is satisfactory. The award of contract will be assessed on a case-by-case basis according to the terms of the quotation or tender. (3) Any invitations, notifications or communications from the AFCD to the suppliers shall be deemed to be received (i) if sent by post, on the next business day in Hong Kong immediately after the date of despatch (Hong Kong time); and (ii) if sent by fax or email, when despatched, regardless of whether the suppliers have actually received such invitations, notifications or communications (as the case may be). (4) In the event of any inconsistency between the English version and the Chinese version of this Disclaimer, the English version shall prevail.
