Mobile Application

The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department and the Communications Association of Hong Kong co-developed the 鈥淓njoy Hiking Hiker Tracking Service鈥mobile application to support speedy mountain rescue operations. By activating the 鈥淗iker Tracking Service鈥and GPS of the mobile phone before your hiking trip, the system will record your tracking location which could be retrieved to shorten the rescue time if the need arises. The mobile application also links to the 鈥淓njoy Hiking鈥website, which adopts a responsive design for viewing on mobile phones. The website features different hiking trails, hiking routes and attractions across the country parks, enabling users to choose a suitable route based on personal interest, physical fitness and experience to enjoy the countryside in Hong Kong.
