Short-nosed Fruit Bat, sharing a similar face with a puppy, is also known as “Dog-faced Fruit Bat”.  They can be found in both urban and rural areas.  They are frugivorous, nectarivorous and folivorous, acting as seed dispersers and pollinators.  Under modified fronds of Chinese Fan-palm or Petticoat palm with bite marks, you may spot them roosting in a “Tent Roost”.
