Oblong Gymnanthera is a climber usually found on rocks by streams or near sandy beaches. Fruiting from September to February, the shape of fruit looks like a moustache hanging on the branch. When mature, the fruit will split and discharge the seeds, which the feather-like seeds will be dispersed by wind.
