An evergreen tree indigenous to India and Malaysia, which is widely cultivated in hot tropical regions. It can reach a height of about 18 metres. Fruits are large, fleshy and sweet and are especially popular in many places. Caterpillars of the butterfly White-edged Blue Baron (Euthalia phemius seitzi) feed on Mango leaves.
