Dwarf Date Palm is a common ornamental palm that originated from Southeast Asia. Its pinnate compound leaves, which look like feathers, would gracefully sway in the wind. The many ‘horns’ on the trunk are actually remnants of leaf bases after leaf fall. Sometimes you may notice that some of the leaves are folded; there may be caterpillars pupating within, so please don’t disturb them.
