Small Indian Civet has a distinctive black and white ringed tail. It is omnivorous and feeds on different types of birds, insects and fruits. It usually lives alone, sleeps in burrows or tree holes during the day and forages on woodland floor during nighttime. Despite being a nocturnal animal, it had appeared in front of people during daytime in the Hong Kong Wetland Park.
