While Quarantine Detector Dogs (QDDs) are mainly engaged in detecting and deterring smuggling activities, they also play a vital role in public education.
Together with their QDDs, handlers conduct talks and demonstrations at schools and local communities regularly to promote the message of preventing animal smuggling and the proper way of dealing with QDDs at work at entry control points. These talks and demonstrations also help the audiences to know more about the work and the daily life of QDDs.
