Wetland Adventure Guided Tour

Wetland Adventure Guided Tour is tailored for the overseas schools, travel agents, tourism service providers and other private organisations. Our Interpreters will bring participants visit the Park to know about various wetland wildlife, including birds, dragonflies, butterflies, aquatic animals and plants, as well as wetland habitats. Participants will be inspired to play a role on wetland conservation in daily life through understanding the close relationship between human and wetlands.

Groups (including overseas schools, travel agents, tourism service providers and other private organisations)

Mondays to Sundays (except Tuesdays)

15 - 40 people per tour (including at least 1 leader or staff aged 18 or above)

Fee

Free for participation, but admission fee to Hong Kong Wetland Park is required. Please click here for the details of admission fees and concessionary packages.

Application

Application should be submitted between 90 and 14 days prior to the desired visit date. All applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Result of application will be notified by fax or email.

Interpreters will bring participants visit most parts of the Park to explore the seasonal charms of wetlands and to discover different wetland plants and animals.

Suitable for: Families, Kids, Youths, Seniors, Companies and Organisations

Itinerary *: Pui Pui's Home → Stream Walk → Life Zone → Succession Walk → Riverside Hide → Mangrove Boardwalk

* Itinerary is subject to adjustment depending on the conditions on the event day.

2. Outdoor Habitat Management Experience (2.5 hours) - Available from November to April only

Suitable for:

  • Participants aged 8 or above only
  • Families, Kids, Youths, Companies and Organisations

Participants will gain hands-on experience on habitat management works. The activity is divided into two parts:

1. Visiting the outdoor Wetland Reserve

Itinerary: Pui Pui's Home → Stream Walk → Wetland Discovery Centre → Life Zone (about 1 hour)
2. Experiencing habitat management works

Participating in tree survey activity in the Wetland Reserve and learning more about common wetland plants. (about 1.5 hours)

 

Notes to Applicants
1. Application should be submitted between 90 and 14 days prior to the desired visit date. All applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. Any incomplete application (e.g. lacking the organisation chop or the signature of Authorised Person, etc.) will not be processed. 
3. Each organisation will only be allocated one guiding time slot on each day. The group size of each guided tour shall be 15 - 40 people. If the organisation fails to fulfil this requirement, the application will not be processed or the confirmed booking may be cancelled. 
4. Please submit a separate form for each additional guided tour. 
5. The result of the application will be notified by fax or email within 10 working days of receiving the application. For enquiries, please email programme@wetlandpark.gov.hk or call (852) 3152 2666.
6. Tickets will be reserved for groups that receive a successful booking confirmation for the Wetland Adventure Guided Tour. Separate booking for group tickets is not required. Please collect the tickets and make payment at the Ticket Office on the day of the visit by presenting the booking confirmation.
7. For any change(s) of the date or time of visit after the application is confirmed, a new application is required. 
8. In order not to affect the visiting schedule and other programmes on the day, please arrive at the Hong Kong Wetland Park (HKWP) on time. The pre-booked service may be cancelled if the organisation is late for more than 30 minutes. 
9. All participants must pay the HKWP admission fees and be responsible for other costs such as transportation, catering, and insurance, etc.
10. The scheduled activity will be cancelled without further notice if any of the following severe weather warning signals, including Red or Black Rainstorm Warning, or Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above, is issued within two hours before the activity. In the event of unstable weather conditions (such as raining) or any of the following severe weather warnings, including Thunderstorm Warning, Rainstorm Warning (Amber, Red or Black), or Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1 or above is issued during the activity, the scheduled activity will be cancelled. There will be no rescheduling arrangement for the cancelled activity.
11. HKWP has temporarily closed the exhibition and visitor facilities in the Visitor Centre for upgrading works. If the scheduled guided tour needs to be cancelled due to unstable or inclement weather, the park will not be able to provide alternative rainy itineraries. Group leaders are requested to pay attention to the weather conditions before the day of visiting and make necessary preparations and arrangements.
12. HKWP reserves all rights for this programme. The result of the application is subject to the organisation’s compliance with the application criteria. If the organisation fails to comply with the obligations as aforesaid or any information provided by the applicant is found to be untrue, the application will be cancelled.
