Bowring’s Gecko is a common house gecko in Hong Kong. Its body colour varies greatly as it is able to adjust the brightness of its skin colour in response to the changes in the surrounding environment and temperature. Like most gecko species, it can discard its tail as self-defence and regenerates a new one afterwards.
