General Information

  1. 10:00am to 5:00pm. Closed on Tuesdays (except Public Holidays). Ticket office opens from 9:30am to 4:00pm. There are special arrangements for the opening hour of the Park during inclement weather conditions. Details

  2. The Park is a statutory smoke-free area. No smoking is allowed inside the park.

  3. Eating and drinking is not allowed inside the exhibition galleries, Swamp Adventure and theatre of the Visitor Centre and the Wetland Discovery Centre.

  4. If you have lost or found any items in the Park, please inform our staff at the Information Counter immediately.

  5. The Hong Kong Wetland Park consists of a 10,000 m2 Visitor Centre and a 60-hectare outdoor reserve, visitors can plan their trip flexibly. A walk around the whole park usually takes 4 hours to a whole day, visitors may wish to take a look at our "Suggested Routes" section for route suggestions.

Tickets

  1. Yes, visitors can get their hand stamped at the information counter before they leave, and they will be allowed to re-enter the park with the presence of the hand stamp and the counterfoil of ticket.

  2. Yes, provided that payment is settled in one transaction.

  3. Groups may purchase tickets on the day of visit provided that the park has not reached its maximum capacity.

  4. The Family Pass consists of 4 Passes, applicable to the applicant and his spouse / children, regardless of their age. Each family member will have their own ticket so there is no need for all members to enter the park at the same time.

  5. Waiver of admission fee to the Hong Kong Wetland Park would be granted to tourist guide who:

    1. is holder of valid Tourist Guide Pass issued by Hong Kong Travel Industry Council (TIC);  AND
    2. is accompanying a tour group visiting Hong Kong Wetland Park on the day.

    The tourist guide who wishes to enjoy this wavier should present his valid TIC Tourist Guide Pass when entering the entry gate at Visitor Centre of the Park.

  6. We accept online and fax booking of tickets 7 to 60 days before the visit, please refer to Online Booking for Group Tickets and Fax Booking for Group Tickets for details.

  7. Besides cash, we also accept Octopus card, EPS, Faster Payment System (FPS), Mainland China's Licensed Digital Wallets (Alipay, WeChat Pay or UnionPay) or cheques , made payable to "The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region". We do not accept post-dated cheques.

Park Facilities

  1. There is a café which sells food and beverages, and provide drinking water inside the Visitor Centre, and there are vending machines inside the Park. Visitors may also bring their own drinking water.

  2. Free lockers are available in the Park. We also provide free cloaking service upon request at the Information Center.

  3. The Park provides a barrier-free environment for all visitors. All galleries and most outdoor areas are accessible by wheelchair users, and our staff is willing to help our visitors in case of need. Details

Parking Facilities

  1. The Park only provides limited parking spaces for private cars. Visitors are encouraged to use public transportations or park their cars at the nearby public car park. The Parking fee is $8 per hour. Details

  2. The roundabout at the main entrance of the Park is for pickup/drop-off only. The Park provides free parking spaces for coaches on a first-come first-served basis in our overflow car park. Details

Wetland Ecology

  1. The vibrant wetlands display rich biodiversity throughout the year. Summer is the best season for butterfly and dragonfly watching, while it is a good opportunity to discover the passage migratory birds in spring and autumn. The Park is also a good habitat for wintering birds, the peak season for bird watching is from October to April.

  2. To avoid disturbance to wildlife and visitors, please do not bring any animals into the Park.

  3. To avoid destroying ecological balance, please do not feed any wildlife.

  4. Visitors can see Pui Pui at "Pui Pui's Home". Please watch Pui Pui quietly to avoid causing undue disturbance. Details
