Shing Mum Arboretum

The Shing Mun Arboretum occupies a total area of 4 hectares of abandoned terraced fields. Tree planting began in the early 1970s. To date, the Arboretum has a total collection of some 300 species, most of which are indigenous to Hong Kong or South China. The Arboretum, which preserves specimens of various plant species including the rare and endangered plants of Hong Kong, plays a significant role in flora conservation.
