Chinese Hackberry is a native tree which is very commonly seen in both the countryside and urban areas. It is also commonly planted as a street tree. In autumn and winter its leaves gradually turn yellow and fall, and are replaced by greenish or purplish new leaves in spring. Its orange-red fruits mature in September to October and are attractive to birds.
