牛背鹭
Eastern Cattle Egret
Bubulcus coromandus

Eastern Cattle Egret looks similar to other egrets. However, feathers on its head, neck and back will turn distinctive bright orange in breeding season. They have an interesting association with cattle as they like to stand on their back. During their passage migration in spring and autumn, visitors may see large groups of Eastern Cattle Egrets standing on the banks of freshwater marshes in Wetland Park.
