Mammals
灰麝鼩
Grey Shrew
Crocidura attenuata
Grey Shrew is an extremely small mammal, with a total length (including the tail) of only 135mm in general, where the tail is approximately half the head-body length. They have a pointed snout, slender tail, and light brownish-grey fur on the back, and are therefore often misidentified as mice.
Grey Shrews are nocturnal animals. Through years of evolution, their eyes have gradually become reduced and small, while they have developed relatively large ears and snouts, relying on their senses of touch and smell to prey on small invertebrates like insects and earthworms in the soil.
