Syconium (“fig fruit”) is one of the characteristics of Big-leaved Fig. Only specific fig wasps can enter the syconium for pollination. Another characteristic is that their figs can be found on the tree for whole year. Figs turn from green to red when they are mature, and are also attractive to birds as they are fleshy.
