Tailed Jay has black wings which are speckled with fine green spots. A strong and restless flyer, it is very active and flutters its wings constantly even when visiting flowers. It is particularly fond of nectar flowers like Lantana (Lantana camara). Its larval food plant includes White Jade Orchid Tree (Michelia x alba) and Desmos (Desmos chinensis).
