Scaly-breasted Munia usually flies in groups, and sometimes associates with other munia species. It feeds on seeds and usually occurs in reed marshes, open grasslands and rice paddies. During the harvesting season, visitors may see them feeding on the ripened rice at the 'Wetland at Work' in Wetland Park.
