Periophthalmus magnuspinnatus

Periophthalmus magnuspinnatus was first officially discovered and recorded in the Park in 2015. It has an elongated cylindrical body, protruding eyes, a reddish-brown triangular first dorsal fin, and blue spots on its cheeks.
They prefer to leave their burrows during low tide to prey on Amphipoda and crabs. When defending their territory, Periophthalmus magnuspinnatus spread their dorsal fins and open their mouths wide. During breeding season, males spread their dorsal fins and hop around to attract females.
