The Entry Plaza is connected with the Visitor Centre through a median water channel. While the iconic Black-faced Spoonbill Sculpture is erected at the start, over 30 vividly posed animal sculptures are also placed along the channel to showcase the liveliness of wetlands.

The green roof of Visitor Centre is specially designed to blend in with the surrounding environment. Visitors may also enjoy the panoramic view of Mai Po and Inner Deep Bay at the top of the roof.

The walls of Visitor Center and Ticket Office are decorated with natural materials, such as climbers and oyster shells, that give the harmonious and refreshing effects.

The elegant lotus and waterlily growing in the pond near Wetland Discovery Centre attract many visitors to take photos of them for pleasant memories.

The ponds near Succession Walk incubate a wide range of wildlife. Apart from the blossoming flowers in summer, visitors may also be attracted by the dragonflies hovering around.

The Birdhide is located next to a broad mudflat where waterbirds are foraging and roosting on. They are sometimes eating, sometimes playing with each other and sometimes taking rest, do not miss these precious scenes and moments.

The Wildside Walk encompasses various sceneries for photo-taking, such as the meandering wooden bridge, seasonal ponds, woodland and grassland.

The Butterfly Garden is planted with various nectar and larval food plants for butterflies. It is the best place for visitors to capture nice photos of different butterflies dancing around.
