This is the first book describing the commercial crustaceans comprising prawns, crabs and mantis shrimps of Hong Kong. In total, 24 species of prawns, 8 species of crabs, and 9 species of mantis shrimps are described, including all the common species. Colour illustration, description of the main morphological characteristics and general information of each species are provided with a view to enabling scientists, fishermen, traders and the general public to identify and know about these groups of animals easily. It is also hoped that this book will draw greater attention of the Hong Kong people to the crustacean resources in Hong Kong and help promulgate the need and importance of conservation and sustainable use of fisheries resources in Hong Kong.
